01 — WHY IT WORKS

Not a test-bank grinder.

⟡ METHOD

Systems first, answers second.

The FAA exam tests applied knowledge. If you only memorize the bank, a reworded question sinks you. I teach the systems underneath so you can work any version of the question.

⟡ CREDENTIALS

Credentialed, not just experienced.

B.S. in Avionics, California CTE Credential in Transportation, and time teaching under FAA Part 147. I've taught this material in accredited programs to working adults for years.

⟡ FORMAT

Flex schedule. One-on-one.

Virtual sessions over video, scheduled around your work and family life. No group classes, no pre-recorded filler. Your weak areas drive what we cover.

02 — SERVICES & RATES

Simple pricing. No packages.

03 — WHO YOU'RE WORKING WITH

About your instructor.

Hi — I'm Zach. My students called me Mr. Wolfe, and I'm here to help you succeed.

I'm a USAF veteran based in Mid-City LA. I started my career as an F-16 crew chief, served as a KC-135 engine specialist, and have worked on just about every airframe out there — everything except helicopters. I've also spent time in engineering, so I intimately understand the math, physics, and electronics portions of the test. That's where I see most students struggle, and it's where I can help the most.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude (3.86 GPA) from the first class of West Los Angeles College's B.S. in Avionics program in 2025, and I hold a California CTE teaching credential in Transportation. I've taught at multiple A&P programs in LA, so I'm familiar with how the material is typically taught — and how to adapt it to your specific learning style.

I use every situation I'm in to learn and deliver a better product to the customer — you.

04 — COMMON QUESTIONS

Things people ask first.

How does a typical session work? +
One-on-one over video. We start with a quick diagnostic — what you've studied, which section feels shakiest, what your timeline is. From there, each session targets a specific weak area and mixes explanation, worked examples, and questions you talk through out loud. Sessions are 60 minutes by default, but 90-minute blocks work well too.
How many sessions will I need? +
Depends where you start. Someone already running 80%+ on practice tests might need 2–4 sessions of targeted cleanup. Someone rebuilding from a weak program might want 8–12. We'll calibrate after the first session — the $50 intro rate exists specifically so you can find out without committing to a package.
Do you cover all three A&P tests? +
Yes — General, Airframe, and Powerplant. Most people come in weakest on one of the three, and that's usually where we spend the most time. I don't tier pricing by test; it's all the same hourly rate.
What if I've barely studied yet? +
Totally fine — honestly easier to work with than someone who's memorized a bunch of wrong intuitions. We start with the framework you need, and the question bank becomes self-reinforcing once the systems make sense.
Can you sign me off or do the oral/practical? +
No — I'm not a DME or an IA, so I can't administer the practical or sign off on your inspection authorizations. What I do: prep you for the written. You'll take the actual written at a PSI testing center, and the oral/practical with a Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME) separately. I can absolutely help you prep for the oral too at the same hourly rate — just let me know.
Payment & scheduling? +
Text me to book. Payment is Venmo, Zelle, or cash — whatever's easiest. Pay per session, no subscriptions, no upfront packages.
